All Saints (Anglican) Church - The Church is a village landmark at the top of the hill. Sunday services at 8.00 am, 10.00 am and 6.30 pm. We also offer a range of services during the week, together with discussion, prayer and educational groups for all ages. All are welcome. Chapel Lane Pre-School Logo

Ps'arms are a team of Christian puppeteers, based at Staplehurst Free Church. Our aim is to share the good news of Jesus' love through the medium of songs, sketches and Bible stories, presented by large, rod-armed puppets. Staplehurst Royal British Legion Bridge Club - meets at Staplehurst Manor, Frittenden Road every Friday at 7.30pm. Table money is £1.50 per guest per evening. We are a very friendly club with a mixed standard of play; visitors coming on their own are always guaranteed a game - there is no need to find a partner. ASB Logo Staplehurst Bellringers - The Bellringers' practice night is Tuesday from 19:30 to 21:15. Staplehurst Beavers
Staplehurst Beavers have an interesting and varied program, they meet Mondays and Tuesday evenings at the Scout Centre at the end of Crowther Close. Beavers is open to boys between the ages of 6 and 8. Currently there is a small waiting list.

Staplehurst Carnival and Fete Logo

Staplehurst Carnival and Fete - This is the only annual village event, which brings the majority of village organisations and villagers together for a day. The aims of the Carnival and Fete are twofold - to raise funds for deserving village causes and to provide an afternoon of entertainment for all who wish to attend. It is normally held on the last Saturday in June.

Staplehurst Cricket & Tennis Club - Cricket matches are played from April until late September. Saturday and Sunday teams play in the Invicta and Kent Village Leagues respectively. The Tennis section plays winter and summer League matches and courts are also available for social players. Junior coaching for cricket and tennis is also provided and the Club offers varied social events and functions throughout the year. Staplehurst Footpath Group - Has an organised walk on the second Sunday in each month. Details are available in the Parish Magazine and in the Library. The Group produces and sells walk cards giving details of local footpath walks. Contact Brian Waterman on (01580) 892227.

Staplehurst Interest Group - A weekly meeting is held in the Schoolroom, Chapel Lane, from 10.00 until noon on Thursdays. Our varied programme explores anything that interests us; we have guest speakers, stretch our minds and memories, laugh a lot and enjoy company. In warmer weather we include trips. Staplehurst Youth Group - Now open Tuesday evenings from 19:30 to 21:30. Young people from 11 to 18 years of age are welcome and can apply for membership on attendance at the Club. Lots of activities - pool, table tennis etc.

Guides Logo

The Guide Association - We have two Rainbow Units for girls aged 5 to 7 years, four Brownie Units for girls aged 7 to 10 years, two Guides Units and a Ranger Unit. All units meet in the Kathie Lamb Centre, Jubilee Field along the Headcorn Road. This centre is also used for GA holidays, nightly accommodation and training. The Staplehurst Branch of the Royal British Legion - The Branch was formed in October 1931. Our aim is to promote the welfare of all those serving or who have served in the Armed Forces, together with their dependants and not just Legion members. The Weald Club for the Disabled (a branch of the KAD) - Meets most Fridays at the McCabe Centre, Bell Lane, Staplehurst between 9:30 and 14:00. It is to enable anyone who is physically disabled and lives alone or with a carer the opportunity of outside contact and activity, plus a few hours respite for the carer.
