APPOINTMENT SYSTEM (SUBJECT TO ALTERATIONS)
The Health Centre offers a variety of appointments. The system currently in place for appointments incorporates all aspects including pre bookable appointments (6 weeks in advance), 24hr in advance bookable appointments, book on the day appointments, telephone consultations, emergency appointments and also the Duty GP who takes emergency telephone consultations and can arrange to bring patients in on extra emergency appointments if needed. The surgery also operates 3 late evenings and 1 early morning surgery every week in an attempt to accomodate Commuters and shift workers.
This system was discussed and agreed with the co operation of our very active Patient Participation Group. It is very much in line with most surgeries and possibly offers more options than many.
Health Information Evenings organised by the Friends of Staplehurst Health Centreat the Health Centre.
Everyone is welcome to come along to these informative evenings.
Health Information Updates
The Health Care Assistants or Receptionists will shortly be contacting patients either by telephone or letter asking for updates on various issues. This information is essential to ensure that correct information is recorded for each patient.
These may well include updates on contact numbers including mobile phones. confirmation of address, smoking status, main spoken language or whether someone is a Carer or cared for person.
The staff will always identify themselves and if you are not 100% sure as to who is calling please call the surgery back to verify the call is genuine before divulging any information.
