I would echo what hurstian said. Our amplifier was already there when we moved in, but if I needed one again then I would do it myself. The only minor snag is the need to connect to mains power in the loft.
If it helps, our amplifier is a Select SLX2 which also has a second output for another TV. A quick Google reveals that they cost around £15.

if you are capable of DIY your best off buying and fitting your own to save money, Screwfix in Park Wood sell everything you need, although you will require a power socket at the location of the booster. If your not too sure and want someone to do it then its Evans Aerials at Linton Hill (opposite the chip shop).

The tariffs change all the time, but I looked into this when we moved here a year ago and decided to go with PlusNet for 'phone and broadband.
For TV, Freeview provides more TV than we can manage to watch and costs nowt. A lot of people complain about reception, but with a basic aerial booster amplifier in the loft we have had no trouble (we too are at the station end of Staplehurst).
Hope this helps!

if your looking for an all in one package it will have to be Sky as there is no cable in the village. Although the offer that Sky have on their site refers to one of their top 4 broadband packages but these are not available in the Village and you will have to have Sky connect which is still ADSL but just not up to 20mb as is available in elsewhere such as Maidstone.
