Staplehurst Carnival and Fete
Surrenden Playing Field ~ Saturday 27th June 2015 from 12:00 noon

'An extravaganza of fun and entertainment for everyone'

We're confident that this year there's even more entertainment than ever before to make the afternoon and evening a memorable community day. The fete opens at 12.00 noon and runs through to around 10.00pm.

How YOU can help
Can we help you? Can you help us?

We will be producing a 40 page colour brochure for the event, which will be distributed to every home in the village in early June. This is a great opportunity to advertise your business, and at the same time support the biggest annual event in our village. Interested? Please contact Bob Ham on 892742 for more details. This has now gone to press. An online version can be viewed on the link above.

As a very small, friendly, (and aging!) committee we are very keen to hear from anybody who could help us. Be part of the organising committee, or help on the day, specific skills or general help, all would be really appreciated! To find out more, without commitment, please contact Graham Sivyer on 892270.

Fundraising

Our annual 10k road run, again organised on our behalf by Nice Work to take place on Sunday 14th June. We're grateful to Scuffs and Scratches this year for their generous sponsorship of the event which saw over 300 entries in 2014 with hopes of topping that figure this year.Volunteer marshalls always needed for 2 1/2 hrs from 9.00am. Please contact Graham Sivyer on 892270.

The Fine & Funky Fryer mobile Fish & Chip provider is serving quality food all day. Fish & Chips just £5

We've arranged a fantastic line-up of family entertainment to complement the many stalls, the sideshows and the funfair. Our main act this year is Clown Bluey who brings his unique slapstick style to the Arena which includes loads of water gags so watch out!
Traditional Punch & Judy, the Bonny Baby contest and a dancing display from the Feat Beats Academy sit beside old favourites like the Owls and the Chainsaw Sculptor.

Bands;
Throughout the afternoon 'TITUS' www.titusfolk.com/
Early evening  'Mick Mepham'  www.mickmepham.com

The main attraction 8.00pm - 10.00pm 'The Vintage Corporation' www.thevintagecorporation.co.uk/

Sponsors

Without their generosity this annual village event could not take place on the scale it does, so as they've supported the event please in turn support them wherever possible.

We're delighted to say that REDROW have agreed to be our main sponsors this year. Come and meet their 2 mascots, Buster and Buddy, who will be attending the Carnival and Fete on June 27th, and joining in the fun!
